Moria
Moria, Khazad-dum, "The Black Chasm".
Built by the dwarves of the race of Durin, this majestic earthwork bastion has long been coveted by all the races. Sauron's minions now hold title to this maze-like masterpiece of dwarven handiwork, so venturing inside can often be the last mistake a foolish adventurer will make.
Moria is hewn from the very heart of the Misty Mountains, and is as dark as the blackest of nights. Its tunnels and cavernous halls seemingly go on forever and only three levels have been explored to date. Rumor has it that as many as four to six more levels lie in wait for future explorers to find.
The wise adventurer knows that riches untold can be had within the black depths of Moria....but also that death takes many forms within its gates. Some mercifully quick....others agonizingly slow.
Note: We would like to extend a gracious thank you to the people who assisted us more than we can say on these maps. The Valacirca and Beorning guilds for providing the equipment and the support on days when we didn't feel like moving....and one unnamed person for a BIG help on the level 1 map....he knows who he is.
